Q-Comp Update: President Chalupsky provided an update on the Q-Comp work that continued over the summer. Mark Chalupsky, Mary Tingblad, Bev Ginther, Mike Cutshall, and John Borgen worked to complete the Q-Comp application and the Memorandum of Understanding. The application was delivered to the state on July 27, 2006, and we are waiting for a reply. The Governance Board will meet on August 30, 2006, 7:30 am at MHS. We will hold a general membership meeting that day to present Q-Comp to the MTA members. Grievance: The MTA has filed a grievance dealing with teacher transfer. The district has until August 29, 2006, to respond.
