Governance Board Meeting Minnetonka High School  August 30, 2006
In Attendance:	Mark Chalupsky, Julie Anderson-Simonson, Mary Tingblad,  Susan Weber, Margaret Ruffino, Pam Wertjes, Julia Antonsen, Debra Drexler, Rhonda Lundgren, Sandy Gosen, Jeri Goodspeed-Gross, Joel Gotz, Mike Matthias.
Absent:	Ramona Anderson, Sue Alexander, Kim Diekmann, Rachel Consdorf.
Guests:	Mike Cutshall (MTA Negotiator).
Call to Order:	7:36 a.m., by President Chalupsky.
	Q-Comp Update: Mark Chalupsky, Bev Ginther, Mike Cutshall, and Mike Lovett worked through a conference call with the state to answer questions and clarify the Q-Comp application on August 28, 2006. The commissioner is expected to sign off on our application this week. We will hold a general membership meeting for all MTA members at 11:45 a.m. today. President Chalupsky and Bev Ginther will go through a PowerPoint presentation and answer questions regarding the Q-Comp plan. Motion by Anderson-Simonson, seconded by Goodspeed-Gross, to recommend the Q-Comp plan to the membership for voting on September 19, 2006. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Goodspeed-Gross, second by Gosen, that we use the same approval percentage that we use for contract ratification, a simple majority (50% + 1) of the members who have voted. Motion carried unanimously.
	Motion by Ruffino, seconded by Drexler, to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:12 a.m.
