| Negotiations Update: | The negotiations session on May 5,
2003, was ended early due to the district's unfair and disrespectful
offer. Cutshall and Ricke provided a document comparing the MTA proposal
and the district's proposal. The negotiators will also send this document
out to the members. The negotiators will set up emergency building-level
MTA meetings to discuss negotiations with the members. A letter requesting
mediation was sent out today to the Bureau of Mediations.
We need to send a strong, clear message that we are unified in support of our negotiators. Motion by Anderson-Simonson, seconded by Tingblad, that the Governance Board support the MTA President and Negotiators, and that the President send an e-mail to the district on behalf of the Governance Board that we will not be attending the district's social gathering on May 14, 2003. Motion carried unanimously. |
